Ok. First off, let me say I love the game and always look forward to updates so I can play it over and over again.
That said, I have a suggestion that is absolutely pedantic and nit-picky, but I'm hoping it may help with playthrough.
Taking a suggestion box and recreating it online only advances the idea if it is simultaneously transformed and improved. A digital box is slightly better than a physical box (better because you can put stuff in it from anywhere), but if the follow up process is the same, the results will be just as dismal.
Suggestion Box Game Machine
So, I make films and keep track of box office numbers more than well adjusted people lol, and I think the numbers on here might need a tweak.
Right now (not accounting for the bug that gives you a star for free) if I made a movie with the most expensive star and the best marketing, it would cost me $2.1M and earn me 500,000 with 5,000 recurring.
That breaks down to a less than 25% opening weekend and over 300 weeks to be financially successful. So it is basically a flop despite every in game advantage.
IRL, for a 'successful' film, it will generally make 50% of its cost (including marketing) opening weekend and be profitable by the end of 4 weeks and make nothing but profit after that.
So if I plug those numbers in to the game that $2.1M film would make $1M opening weekend and 275,000 every week after that, meaning after 4 weeks you could afford to make that same movie again.
If you would want to do that, the simple math would be for a well marketed film to earn 50% the total budget and 13% from there on out.
- The old suggestion boxes that were fixtures in offices have gone online for ease in running the program, but inviting employees to submit their ideas is as important as ever. Kick off your program with a dynamic suggestion box introduction letter, and you'll have great ideas in no time.
- Suggestion boxes and collection boxes with display windows allow you to post directions for using the box, write a bold thank you for donations and jot down other messages. Built-in storage areas make it easy for users to find pens, comment cards and other items that go inside.
Again just an idea. Feel free to ignore me and my nit-picky brain.
The game is great.
Keep up the awesome work.
