Uninstall A Steam Game On Mac

Before removing a Steam game from your library, you should uninstall it from your computer. SOLVED THANKS TO SPOOF I know this has been talk about so much but i still can't find a fix to my problem and i have messaged steam support and got an automatic response which didn't help telling me to refresh steam so i did that and it didn't fix it. I even deleted steam completely and did a fresh install and that didn't fix it. I have most of my games downloaded but steam keep randomly. Install games using Steam for Mac. Like the Mac App Store, Steam offers free and paid-for games. For free games, click the Play Game button. This opens a window with options for creating a desktop.

Go to ~/Library/Application Support and trash the folder the goes with the game.

Go to ~/Library/Cache/ and find the cache that is the same or similar to the game name and delete that. (You will probably have to secure empty the trash.)

Go to ~/Library/Preferences/ Find the file name and this time it will end in .plist. Delete the file. This is the file that holds all of the preferences for the game.

  • Open Steam
  • Switch to Library > Installed
